Macaroni and cheese with cauliflower... a delicious combination!

Something has to be said about the combination of cauliflower with cheeese... these two ingredients really combine well. The whole family loved this recipe, and it was certainly one of the best macaroni and cheese recipe, I dare even say the children have not complained about any of the the small green veggie bits as they usually do. It is a simple dish, fast, balanced, and tastes great. The cauliflower into small pieces cooked this way is still a bit crunchy, they're nothing short of delicious.


macaroni and cheese with shrimp and bacon

Ingredients list:

1/2 head of cauliflower
1/2 lb. grated strong cheddar
1/3 lb. Parmesan cheese (or Gruyere)
Chopped fresh parsley, quantity to your liking
salt, pepper
1 lb. dry macaroni pasta
2 cups fresh cream

Procedure:

1) In a saucepan, cook the macaroni and the cauliflower (previously cut into small pieces) together in boiling water.

2) Meanwhile, in another saucepan, melt the cheese with the cream and the chopped parsley and salt and pepper.

3) After, drain the macaroni and cauliflower, stir into the pan with the cream and cheese sauce and add a little cooking water if necessary.

4) Put in an oven-going pan, slide the pan in the oven for a few minutes set to broil.

Your delicious and healthy macaroni and cheese is ready...
